I rode in my first gymkhana last Thursday and now I'm entered in a Western Pleasure class this saturday. not my idea but whatever. It's a really, really, really minor show, I mean it takes place in the town's hockey arena so it's not like a big horse show or anything, but neither my nor my horse have ever entered a show before. Especially Western Pleasure. What do you usually wear for WP, cowboy shirt, jeans, and hat? And do you usually braid your horses mane? What do you usually do in a WP class? Like I said, it's supposed to be a really small show with a lot of people who only ride horses on occasion or mostly for trail rides. At least I hope so, otherwise I'll be the out of place jerk on the fast horse who refuses to hold her head down that low. :P Thanks!
