I live in a rented house that has seen many room mates, one of which left stolen street signs hanging as decorations. They also have graffiti on them. It just occurred to me now that it's down to just a good friend and I, that we could get in trouble for the signs. The landlord is my parent so I do not want them to be liable either. How could I return these signs to the city without being liable? What department should I talk to?
