There are two schools of thought regarding this matter. One group of folks claim that in order for something to be property, it must be subject to scarcity; according to this school of thought, intellectual property is not property. The other group of folks, of which I am a part, believe that property is the fruit of labor, and because intellectual property was created as a result of labor, it is property.
