I started dating a guy who just moved to my city of about 200,000. He wants to go to residences do the estimates and put in carpet and tile. He did some high end residential work but doesn't have any pictures to prove it. The only pictures he has is of a condo he was working on but it doesn't show the work he did on the tile. He has family in town and has gotten a few jobs from his family. He goes to hardware stores like Lowes and tries to talk people into getting an estimate, but he just ordered his business cards. He has all the tools he needs, He doesn't have a truck and his phone is getting shut off every few months it seems. Does he stand any chance with getting this thing off the ground? He keeps saying he's going to be making some money but stays broke and watches TV all day waiting for a job to pop up.
