Honda's Indian unit, Honda Siel Cars India (HSCI), said the recall of these cars manufactured between 2005 and 2007 was part of the preventive part replacement of a power window switch globally. A HSCI spokesperson said the part replacement was part of a global exercise by Honda Motor Company to ensure "stringent quality standards for its products" and that no incident has been reported in India due to this defective part.
