Delaware evacuations

The zone includes the communities of Slaughter Beach, Prime Hook, Broadkill Beach, Long Neck, Oak Orchard and a large portion of the Delaware Route 1 corridor, as it runs south to north along the east coast.



Emergency planners have designated three shelters for those inside the evacuation zone: Beacon Middle School at 19482 John J. Williams Highway in Lewes; Indian River High School at 29772 Armory Road in Dagsboro (pets accepted); and Milford High School at 1019 N. Walnut St. in Milford (pets accepted).
