The 2011 Video Music Awards will take place on MTV this Sunday night at 9/8C, and music fans have at least one worthwhile reason to tune in to the one night a year when "Music Television" pays any attention to music itself: Jay-Z and Kanye West will be appearing at the event, and are expected to perform.



The 2011 MTV Video Music Awards will take place at Staples Center in Los Angeles, California. The awards will be broadcast live tonight at 9 p.m. EST on MTV.
