Kat Von D's reality show "LA INK" was canceled by TLC after four seasons, Access Hollywood reports, but People.com says that the reality show star is back with former fiance James.
"Sometimes you are only given one chance in life," James tells People. Meanwhile, the last episode of Von D's show will air Sept. 15. In a statement, TLC says it is "proud of what the series has accomplished in its four seasons, following Kat Von D’s journey as an artist from Miami to Los Angeles."
Von D started dating James last year, not long after he finalized his divorce from Sandra Bullock, on whom he had been caught cheating. Von D joins Kate Gosselin on the unemployment line -- TLC canceled "Kate Plus 8" earlier this week. James, 42, and the "LA Ink" star, 29 are back together and are engaged again, James told People magazine.
"Sometimes you are only given one chance in life," James told People. "I'm so sad, because I really love her," James told People in July. Von D had a different take on the situation.
The couple's reconciliation comes after a difficult year for Von D.
Before they got back together, when it came time for her to promote the new season of "Ink," Von D split before a television interview with "Good Day LA" rather than face questions about James.
Then, in a long, rambling Facebook note, Von D, whose full name is Katherine Von Drachenberg, apologized not for walking out on a "silly morning show interview" but for having a moment of weakness.
"Never planned on walking away from this relationship, let alone the timing of things," Von D wrote. While James and Von D are back on, James' trouble with women isn't over.
James has had much travail in his love life.
The reality show centering around Jesse James' ex-fiancee and her work at High Voltage Tattoo in West Hollywood has been canceled. "The network is proud of what the series has accomplished in its four seasons, following Kat Von D's journey as an artist from Miami to Los Angeles," TLC said.
von D said that the decision to end the show was her own. "I love how me deciding not to continue doing LA Ink turns into [the show] being 'cancelled,'" she tweeted. "Thanks, TLC. Just last month the reality star, 29, and James, 42, called off their engagement. In an episode of LA Ink that aired just two days after announcing the split, von D (real name: Katherine von Drachenberg) got Sandra Bullock's ex-hubby's face tattooed on her body.
