[ Cooking & Recipes ] Open Question : Making BBQ sauce spicy......?

I have a pretty good recipe for a bbq sauce, but I want to make it spicy. I want to use a fresh pepper, but I don't know which one or how much to use. The recipe makes about 4 cups of bbq sauce.
