To save a bIt of money I am going to try to build my own microphone boom pole. If nothing else i'll just buy a real one and have a good chuckle at my craft skills. However I understand a boom pole is not just a stick. They clearly are well designed. So here are a few questions I have. - how should boom weight compare to length and mic weight? - where in relation to center of gravity should the grip be? - where in general should the c o g be?
