#Alicesbucketlist: 15-Year-Old With Terminal Cancer Trends on Twitter

When Alice Pyne created a blog to post her bucket list, she had no idea that people all over the world soon would know what she wants to do before she dies. The 15-year-old Brit who suffers from terminal Hodgkin's Lymphoma penned her first entry Monday, and just a few days later #alicesbucketlist was a trending topic on Twitter.

"The cancer is now spreading through my body," she wrote in her first post. "It's a pain because there's so much stuff that I still want to do." At the suggestion of her mother, she decided to turn her ideas into a bucket list.

The hashtag drew widespread attention to her story. Tweeters publicized her list, which includes things like, "to make everyone sign up to be a bone marrow donor," and "to go to Cadbury World and eat loads of chocolate."

Though Alice wrote in her first post, "I'm not expecting to do everything on it. Some of the things are just not going to happen," she may be surprised at how much users touched by her courage want to help her accomplish. One of the items on her list was "To meet Take That." Thursday, in a post titled, "
It's Manic," she broke "mega exciting news": she will get to socialize with the popular British music group this weekend. Early Friday, she announced that, "we just hit £10,000 for cancer research by you sponsoring my little sister for her run this weekend."

This poignant story reminds us that despite recent events, there's still some hope for the Internet community.
