The Clifton Health Department is sponsoring a free skin cancer screening Friday, July 15, from 2:30 to 4 p.m. at Clifton City Hall, 900 Clifton Ave. Dr. Joanna Zurada from will the Dermatology Center of North Jersey will be the dermatologist performing the exams.
Skin cancer is the most common form of cancer in the United States. Individuals need to protect their skin from UV rays all year round, but now that the warmer weather is approaching everyone should be more aware about protecting their skin in the bright sunlight. According to Lori Ann DiRienzo, health educator for the City of Clifton, "Early detection is the best defense against all forms of skin cancer."
In order to facilitate your exam, wear a single layer of clothing. This exam is open to Clifton and Little Falls residents only. Registration is required. Call 973-470-5760 to schedule your appointment.
