Can colic be soothed by comfort sucking? Or is it a fight to get them to attach? I'm just trying to figure out if my son is experiencing colic symptoms or is just a clingy baby. My son wails sometimes, and will keep going until I put him on my breast, and he will only comfort suck. He's exclusively breastfed and barely ever has gas. If he's screaming I'll offer him the breast, then when he calms down will remove and slip in the dummy, he'll suck like mad, but isn't hungry. But it's not the same time every day, it's more so during his awake periods, it's almost like he gets bored because he's not sure of what to do other than eat and suck, because he's no longer tired? I don't think it's colic but I just wanted to know if any colic babies are comforted by sucking. Thanks :)
