okay, so my best friend in the whole world is a guy, and we've been really close for the past two years. we always talk on the phone for hours at a time, and i can trust him with anything. last night he was really really flirty with me when we hung out with some friends, and then after - when he called me to catch up - he basically told me that " he likes me more than" the girl he's hooking-up with. i don't know if he meant that as a put-down to her or what? he said some other thing along the same lines that i wasnt sure how to take. it wasn't just that either. whenever im interested in a guy he is supportive but then points out something he knows will turn me off from him. and i feel like we're always really careful not to hug or touch too much ( i have a lot of guy and girl friends and we're always jokingly hugging/ holding hands/ kissing each other on the cheek) and im beginning to wonder if maybe we were meant to be more than friends. or this could just all be in my head. so i was wondering what you would do in the situation.
