Wayward penguin Happy Feet - released back into the ocean after a brief sojourn in New Zealand - may not be heading for the Antarctic after all, according to his tracking device. Penguins tend to zig-zag when feeding, but move in a straight line when travelling.

Happy Feet's tracker is turned on seven hours a day, from 6am to 9am New Zealand time, and then from 8pm to midnight.
