A San Diego police officer was shot twice in head

Witnesses told police someone fired a shotgun at the officer from the passenger window. Police Capt. Jim Collins told the San Diego Union-Tribune the shooting appeared to be "totally unprovoked." Police say they tracked down the suspected car shortly after the attack and fatally shot a suspect who tried to avoid arrest.
